TASTING NOTES
MALBEC; a variety once popular in Bordeaux France, is now mostly associated with countries such as Argentina and regions such as Cahors in South West France. Langhorne Creek has a long history with Malbec and the climate is exceptionally well suited.
This Special Release Malbec is the result of block selection, the parcels have been kept separate and nurtured for maximum expression of varietal character. This wine shows an intense perfumed aroma of violets and spice with a bramble lift, on the palate the wine is rich and fleshy with fine tannins.
This dazzling, purple-red hued Bremerton Malbec features crimson highlights along the edges. This enticing Malbec varietal offers intense aromas of violets and spices from the perfumed nose, with subtle bramble nuances evident in the backdrop. These vibrant fragrances integrate with fine tannins on the rich and fleshy palate, to culminate in a sharp yet satisfying finish. This exquisite red wine can be stored for 3 to 5 years, but can also be relished fresh and young upon release. Pair it with beef burritos, hot lamb curries and baked potatoes to enjoy an appealing meal.
Pairing
The best accompaniment to a Malbec wine are dishes including roasted red meat, pasta with red sauces and mature cheese with a complex flavour. Malbec wines are also great with typical Argentinian cuisines such as meat empanadas and stews.
