Winemaker Notes:

Filled with green apple, quince and citrusy acidity clean flavours on the palate. Fine, persistent flavours with balanced acid and a long finish. An exceptionally elegant wine, showing the benefit of careful oak treatment

Pair With: Pan-fried gnocchi, beetroot and goat cheese.

In a word, the finest integration of fruit and oak that you will find in a modern Chardonnay.

Pedestal wines are from Margaret River fruit and this vintage with fruit from the sub-region of Karridale, by the highly skilled Larry Cherubino (Winery Of The Year 2011 – James Halliday, Producer Of The Year 2011 – Matt Skinner’s Wine Guide). The Pedestal range showcase the varieties this region does best. James Halliday 96 points.

Description

Reviews:

“This is a picture-perfect example of Margaret River Chardonnay,  with green apple, quince and citrusy acidity; oak has simply been a means to an end”

This 2021 Pedestal Chardonnay is another top-class Margaret River Chardonnay by Larry Cherubino. An exceptionally elegant wine, showing the benefit of careful French Oak treatment.

Other comments: – Larry Cherubino’s Pedestal chardonnay shows the generous flavours of a cooler season in Margaret River. Typical of a Cherubino wine, Pedestal seamlessly folds the fruit flavour together with the influences of fermentation with natural yeasts in new and used French oak barrels – followed by maturation in those barrels.
